    We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, supporting tax and compliance processes, and ensuring accurate day-to-day accounting operations.

    This role is ideal for someone with strong numerical skills, good knowledge of accounting principles, and experience working with financial systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records.
    • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
    • Assist with VAT returns, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
    • Support payroll processing where required.
    • Monitor budgets, expenses, and cash flow.
    • Work with external auditors, accountants, or tax advisors when needed.
    • Ensure all financial data is accurate, up to date, and properly documented.

    Requirements

    • Previous experience in an accounting or finance role.
    • Good understanding of UK accounting standards and tax processes.
    • Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar.
    • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Good organisational and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
    • AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or similar qualification is preferred but not essential.
